Question

Object selection count for InDesign CC without the need for scripting

There appears to be many InDesign users who’d like to know how many objects they have selected. I found a way of doing this without the need for scripting. Just press B to open the “Content Collector” panel, then select all the desired objects and click the “Load Conveyor” button at the bottom right of this panel and click the “Selection” radio button and voila, the number of objects selected is displayed.

I hope this is useful.

Kind regards

Dave

I might be overly biased but why exactly is this easier "without the need for scripting"? I do hope you mean "without the need to learn to write such a script" or "without the need to actually download a script or copy it from the screen into a text file, and then save it into the correct folder" (you only have to do this once) because running a script is as simple as double-clicking it in the Scripts panel. In case that's too much effort, you can also bind a custom shortcut key to any script you want.

Yeah. That's what he means. I have no idea how to implement what you said (even though I know what a script is), but I am here because of what HE said. AND others have provided a very practical answer, and your pith hath provided naught.
