Odd InDesign 2020 corner and runaround behaviour

Am using latest InDesign 2020 (15.0) and generally very happy with it.

But am finding that when I apply corner settings to picture boxes, making then rounded with a small setting of 2mm, it is coming up way too big, looking more like 10mm. I'm having to artifically stick in a very low number to get the subtle rounded corners I need.

Am similarly, when I add runaround to picture boxes, it is coming up way too big, 1mm runaround is looking like 5mm, a setting of 2mm is giving me about 10mm etc.

I've poked through the preferences but can't spot anything. It's not someting I've seen in older versions which I've used for years.

Any help much appreciated.

It sounds a little like the object in question has been scaled up. This can affect all the others values you mention as well.

To get things back to normal, try selecting the object, then going to the flyout menu of the Control Panel (top right) and selecting "Redefine scaling as 100%".

Now try applying values to corners and wrap, and if it's acting normally, that was the answer.

There is also a general setting in Preferences that you can check if you want all scaling to automatically be redefined as 100%...
