Hi All,

I have a shape (a gingerbread man outline) and I would like to create a second shape (same gingerbread man shape) within my original shape which has equal spacing between the two shapes. Is there a way to do this in InDesign?

TIA.

Correct answer Steve Werner

You may not yet have learned Adobe Illustrator, but it is really a much better application for doing that kind of drawing. Its tools are much more optimized and give you much more control over the drawing process. If this is something you do with any regularity, I highly recommend learning Illustrator.

Thanks, I ended up doing it in Illustrator in the end.

Hi @Megan25686349e48y ,

you could ceate your own custom stroke style.

From my German InDesign 2023:

I have not yet tried it myself, but this page has a number of scripts for InDesign, including an Offset Path script.
