online published documents embedded: what happens when associated email is no longer valid?

You would need to set an automatic forward of emails sent to that email to someone else, IT departments tend to do this. It would be best to use a generic email - instead of peter@petersjob.com it would better to use userfeedback@petersjob.com 

Or something less generic - then those emails could be monitored by a team rather a single person or at least sent on to another individual automatically - which could be added to an outlook inbox as a separate inbox or something.
