Question

open a file window is suddenly full screen and can't be resized

I must have done something stupid (again) because now whenever I go to "Open", the resulting window is full size. If I place the cursor on one of the corners  or sides and do the normal click and drag to resize it, nothing happens. It's annoying, how do I sort it out?

Uwe, you are a star, problem resolved, that was
the one thing I hadn't thought of doing. Many thanks.

Hi @nigelmay ,

I'm doing that all the time.

To escape that situation just double-click the white area at the top of the window.

The "bar" where the "File open" statement is.

FWIW: The double-click is a toggle-command between full screen window and the resized one.
