I have a resume in indesign that was perfectly editable last I used it. I open this time and it's not. I am not look for a big explenation on Open Type or anything like that. I just want to know can I fix this or do I have to start from scratch? I can't even copy and paste. Only enough it's only on the first page. Second page is fine.
It sounds like there may be some corruption in the file. Try exporting it as an IDML file (File>Export>InDesign Markup (IDML)). Then open the IDML file with your version of InDesign. The file then can be saved as a regular .indd file. This process can clean up some corruption in an InDesign file. Hopefully, it will restore the editability of your file.
