Opening InDesign CS5.5 file with newest version of CC InDesign

Hi,

For years I have been work with CS 5.5 - my laptop died and I tried to install but the verification servers won't let me re-install so I bought a Creative Cloud liscence. Now I can't open my old CS 5.5 InDesign Files. Is there a plugin that will allow me open them and save them as CC 2022 files?

What happens when you try to open the old files? Do you get an error message?

yes so is it possible to open files in cs5 with the new version of indesign

Pop-up wondow says cannot open CS3 or CS5 indesign may not support the file format?

A newer version can open older files.
