[OS X] [CC2017] ExtendScript Toolkit extremely slow while debugging

Hi,

With this post I would like to report an issue.

On Os x 10.12.4, debugging a script in ExtendScript Toolkit is extremely slow. After setting breakpoints and pressing the play button, it takes up to 15-20 seconds to jump from one breakpoint to the other. Using the "step over current line" button works very fast.

Doing just the same operation on Windows 10, with the same script, all works well.

I'm using Adobe Indesign CC 2017.

Could you please tell me how I can fix this ?

Thanx

Hi,

maybe that will help:

You could disable App Nap systemwide to speed things up:

Re: ID CC 2014 plus ExtendScript (Yosemite) slow to the point of not working...

Hi

I already disabled App Nap. Before disabling it, ExtendScript was slow in every operation (typing, accessing menu's, ....)

Now, it's only slow when debugging and jumping from one breakpoint to the other. On Windows everything works fine.

Any other suggestions ?

Thanks

Sorry. No.
I'm on OSX 10.10.5 and cannot see a lack of speed when jumping from breakpoint to breakpoint.
At least not in a 15 to 20 seconds time frame. Could be the code the culprit? Does it work so slow with every script?

Uwe
