Overset Text & Fit Frame to Content

I often have small text frames that are single lines that have overset text.
When there are multiple words and I use "Fit Frame to Content" on them it will create a new line every time. 95% of the time I want it to stay as a single line. Is there an option that would enable this function?

If not, I'd like to suggest this as a Quality of Life improvement.

The only way you're going to get too much text to fit in a single line is to extend the text frame horizontally until it all shows up.

When you use Fit Frame to Content, you'll find out the default setting stays inside the page margins — even if the text would extend it further. It's not a magic solution. If you want to make it fit even if it extends past the margins, You're going to have to manually stretch it yourself. But that will work for you every time.

Sorry I haven't got better news for you,
