Package Files window suddenly goes across screen

For some reason the Package Files window is stretching across my screen and I can't resize it. I can't figure out how to adjust the size of this window. I've been packaging files with ID for years and have never seen this issue. I can't drag the edges of the window to resize nor can I find any place in preferences where the window can be adjusted. I've tried restarting InDesign but have not restarted my computer and hope I don't have to restart the computer since I have multiple files open with a deadline looming.

FYI: this is on a Mac interface. See attached screenshot. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

First thing to try is to reset your current workspace:

Window > Workspace > Reset [name of current workspace].

If that doesn't work, restore your InDesign preferences:

    Set preferences in Adobe InDesign

Thanks, Steve. Restoring the preferences worked. It's still frustrating that restoring preferences is the solution to so many issues. This is the third or fourth time I've had to restore them in the last 6 months. The most frustrating part is that I have to spend so much time resetting all of my setup (preferences, windows, delete unnecessary colors from swatches, etc. )for how I like to use InDesign.
