Question

Packaging multiple inDesign files from sub folders into individual folders

I'm looking for a way to package multiple inDesign files that are in sub-folders of a main project folder.

We tested inDesign's Book feature and while you can drag in multiple inDesign files and package them all, they are all packaged into one main target folder.

I would like to select the main project folder and have the script go through and open all the inDesign files in the sub folders and do the following:

1. Open each inDesign file,

2. Update all the links,

3. Package each inDesign file to its own individual sub-folder, with all the image and text links into their own folders within the folder that contains the packaged inDesign file.

That does the trick! Cheers P!

Just need to check the 'Preserve folder structure when packaging' box and you get the desired effect
