Page disappears when I click on image or text box

I'm creating a very simple one page ID doc. (version 20.0.1). When I click on any element (text box or image), the whole page momentairly goes blank so I can't see what I'm doing. Weird! How can I fix this?

If you're on a Mac - try turn off the GPU performance in the Preferences.

If you're on a PC - and Windows 11 - there was a recent update that is causing issues to Windows 11 - try uninstalling the update to Windows 11 patch update KB5050094.

Other common fixes

---------

Try resetting your preferences:

Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.

@Centime Tara

What platform, OS and InDesign versions?

You might need to either update your OS - or InDesign, as you're working on an older version - or both.

It is a problem of the graphic card, not InDesign.
