Question

Page links in PDF published from InDesign do not work in Adobe Embedded Player

Hello,

We have a PDF with many links allowing us to navigate to different pages in the document. InDesign is generating the links with 'named destinations' that look something like this: "IMP-0030.indd:.11018:23" that take us to different pages.

The links all seem to work fine in every PDF viewer including Chrome browser, Adobe Acrobat player, etc. But when viewed in the Adobe Embedded Web viewer, when the links are clicked they don't go to the correct pages. This is the viewer I'm referring to:

https://developer.adobe.com/document-services/docs/overview/pdf-embed-api/modernviewer/

Unfortunately I can't share the PDF due to the sensitive nature of the content- but I'm wondering if there are any publishing options in InDesign that might fix this... Thanks for any guidance.

Hi @flextnet ,

does your InDesign pages contain different page sections?

If there is only one section will it be no problems with the links?

Whatever it is isn't an InDesign issue. There is a link to GitHub on that page to report issues.
