Page Number lowers after certain pages

Hi There,

I am very new to Indesign. I have set spreads for a book in Indesign. In order to insert page numbers, I have added a blue box at bottom of Parent-A and Insert page number from Type>Insert Special Character>Markers>Current Page Number like below:

 

Text frame options of page numbers have been set to Columns=Fixed Number, Width=0.222 in, Align=Top of Vertical Distribution, Unchecked=Ignore Text Wrap and Auto Size=Off. 

 

Page numbers appears in normal position as Parent-A page until the Spread 65-66:

 

But don't know why, digits of page number lower down little bit to bottom from the Spread#67-68 and remain until the last spread of the book:

 

This causes the digit of page number being out of margin for which KDP is issuing Out of Margin error.

Can you explain why this is happened and how to correct this issue?

Hi @infomamun , Not sure if this is the problem, but it looks like the page number’s Text Frame has been overridden from the Master on page 67 allowing it to be moved? I can see the frame guide is a solid line—not the dotted line I would expect from a Master Page item (see your page 65 guide).

I agree with @rob day.

 

Here's a quick demo of one way to reapply the A-Parent and remove the override. Be sure to save before you try to fix this, in case it causes other issues. If it does, grab a shot, revert and come back to show us. There may be other frames with overrides in addtion to the one you showed us.

    Hi @rob day , you were right. Actually the indesign file was primarily created by another designer who placed page numbers on that blue frames on each & every page (might be more novice than me :D) instead of placing them on Parent-A page. I actually removed those frames one by one up to Page#66 and forgot the rest as there is no option in Indesign 17 to select all frames with same appearance. Then I created page numbers on Parent-A page and as a result these page numbers were covered by the original blue frames from page#67.
