Question

Page scroll bar

I am struggling to view the last few pages in the page menu bar of all the documents that are open. There is also no scroll bar to the side of the pages menu. I've also noticed that the info bar at the bottom of this menu can't be viewed either, which means that I can't add blank pages to the document and or see the total number of pages. I have tried to reset preferences on the opening window but this doesn't seem to have worked. Open to any ideas!

Please refer to this Knowledge Base document for a fix for this issue : Scroll bar missing from the Pages panel

It's relatively rare but I have had this as well with a few of the panels (Pages was one of them, another frequent one is Paragraph Styles). Try resizing it -- usually it takes only a bit of that, just enough to trigger redrawing. If that doesn't work, try closing it and opening it again.

What version of ID? What operating system?

Typically resetting preferences would fix what you're describing. Can you post a screenshot of the pages panel?

I am using InDesign CC with the 2017.1 Release on a Windows machine.

In addition, you might want to install CC2018 and see if it fixes it. I've seen no issues at all with it on Windows 10.

I'd leave CC2017 in place when doing so. Click on the advanced link in the pop up when installing and deselect removed prior version.
