Can you clarify the difference you see? To me it looks like you are referring to the paragraph spacing, amd perhaps the lengthof the shading.

Please show non-printing characters in your screen shots, and tell us how the shading is applied. I suspect you may have different vertical justification settings or grid alignment between the two frames, and if the shading is paragraph rules, there is probably a right aligned tab not showing for the text on the left that has been omitted on the right, but frankly you just don't give us enough infromation to be able to answer your questions properly.

Frankly, I personally don't see any obvious differences (save for the actual soup ingredients). I might be missing something. Can you please describe what exactly is different?

p.s. posted before seeing earlier replies.

Paragraph styles can be overrident by character styles

Make sure your character styles are not applied to paragraphs of text.

Character styles should only be applied to special situations within a paragraph, like a bold word/sentence, or italic etc.

I think you've mixed up two of your threads here, but in the dialg you are showing the first field should be the name of your bold character style, not the paragraph style, and the last field should say Tab, not Words.

Something like: Bold up to 1 Tab
