Question

paragraph style without font-style

Hi!

My current question is, if I can make a paragraph style without values for the font (family, style, etc.).

I need it for a table-style. The lef t column must have left alignment but different font style/font size. All the other columns have a centered alignment.

So I have paragraph styles for the table head, the table foot, table body and I need one more (only for alignment) for the left column.

This is how to has to look like:

Thank you for ideas 🙂

Hi,

Since this is alignment, set up a child style based on a parent style.

Since you have a center alignment style already, copy that style and base that second style on the first.

You can then create a cell ctyle for the first column with the left aligned style applied to it.

Hi hth

yes, that would be the solution if each charakter of the cells in the left column would be the same type. But there are not.

You have in left column many-many paragraph styles? Or the one? If one then why you are fear it to apply with font data?

For "many-many" I used to Woodwing SmartStyle plugin. But that is not so cheap for anyone.

There are a lot of tables to change. I need a Table style with nested cell-styles (themself with nested paragraph styles) to change them by one klick.

Yes, you can do this, but with character style.

not paragraph style, as character.

Sorry it not helps with alignment
