can not get the paragraph styles to show itself , neither from the Type dropdown, the Windows dropdown, or using the F11 key - it had been working, and then later in the day was no longer there (I may have moved it too quickly and it left the screen, no longer to return) [even uninstalled the application and reinstalled, to no avail]
Try resetting your preferences:
The easiest way to reset everything is to delete the InDesign preferences: as soon as InDesign starts to boot hold down Shift, Alt, Ctrl (and Apple/Cmd if working on a Macintosh). A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.
