PC Numpad '1' error on indesign

Hi, An odd error since the last Indesign update (15.0 64-bit)

If I hit the '1' key on the keypad the full textbox changes font to [Din(T!1)] (a font I don't have on my system) and the '1' doesn't even appear!

Producing a pricelist is very annoying when you can't use the '1' key.

Notes:

This has only appeared since the last update

I have unistalled/reinstalled/restarted and booted my mouse across the room

It doesn't happen with the '1 key on the number row.

It doesn't happen in illustrator, photoshop, excel, word or any other software.

I have looked at edit>keyboard shortcuts but I can't search for key-specific shortcuts.

Any advice?

Jamie

Is it happening on every file or just this one? If it's only this one, export it to IDML and then open that.

Hi Bob,

It''s only happening on the one file.

I've exported as IDML (5K from a 60K original INDD file) - opened that and I am still getting the issue.

(It also takes an age to open the IDML)

However... I've just noticed that it's not just the font that changes but the whole paragraph style.

It is changing it to a paragraph style called LD Dimensions+ (not one I've ever set up)

Checked and there is no shortcut setup !!

I've just deleted the style and the error is solved.

(I'm just praying it isn't used in another document (this is part of a book)

Many Thanks for your help.

I think this can be closed off now.

Did you check your styles for shortcuts? Does it happen with the number 1 key above the letters?

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your reply.

There are no keyboard shortcuts on paragraph, character or table styles.

The '1' in the number row above the letters works absolutely fine.

The error happens in tables and text boxes and is slowly driving me ...a little ... bit ... mad.
