PDF Export for iPad Preview: Viewing Single Pages and Spreads

Hi,

I debut on InDesign and bit confused about printing pdf. Let me explain : I export normally (default settings) of my book in pdf. Now I open it in iPAD, so in VERTICAL I see one page, but in HORIZONTAL i should see 2 pages in spread, is that correct ? Because in HORIZONTAL with the iPAD I still see only one page.

That's not how PDF works. It's all based on the settings in the PDF reader app.

Yes, I understand that. What I do is simply open the file with iPAD then "share" with the apple native app "Books". And there is no special setting to do for it. (Maybe I miss something ?...)

Yes, you are. That view is only going to work with EPUB.

Make sure that "Spreads" is selected in the Export Adobe PDF dialog that appears during the export to pdf process. See screenshot below:

Thanks for your suggest but with your method, no matter Vertical or Horizontal it always appears as 2 pages spread 😅
