How can I export a PDF out of InDesign that is 95% the scale of the original? The current file is built as a multipage spread document.

Correct answer Peter Spier

As far as I know, you can't scale on export from InDesign, but you can scale on output from Acrobat.

In addition to the Acrobat option mentioned by @Peter Spier, you can print from InDesign to a virtual PDF printer from the Print dialog, where the scale option is available. Although I'm not sure that virtual PDF printers will necessarily create PDFs that otherwise satisfy your desired specs.

What kind of multipage spread document? Is it a book/booklet set up with two facing pages side-by-side? Or is it a multi-panel brochure with multiple panels put together and folded/cut to pack down to a smaller size?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
