Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with a PDF generated with Indd in interactive PDF mode. My client reopens this interactive PDF with Preview and changes the font layout and the character itself. Can you help me? Thanks.

Hi @Dadot_71,

Thanks for reaching out. This behavior occurs because Apple Preview doesn't fully support interactive PDFs or embedded fonts from InDesign, which can cause fonts and layouts to display incorrectly. I'd suggest opening the exported interactive PDF in Adobe Acrobat, as it supports all interactive and font features properly.

Could you please confirm if the same issue appears on your end as well? If possible, please share an affected sample PDF file, so I can test it further.

Please give this a try and let me know how it goes.

Abhishek

First of all, thank you.
I'm attaching the two PDFs where they are named according to how they were filled out, one in Acrobat and the other with Preview.

You've already gotten your answer. Did you notice when you export the PDF it is specified as Adobe PDF. Beyond Acrobat on a desktop, these things are a crapshoot.
