PDF2ID help on Microsoft Surface Go

I have a PDF in Acrobat DC that I need to import into InDesign and edit, then save as .INDD. After a lot of research, I bought the PDF2ID software. However, when I use the Recosoft tab to import or place this PDF, many of the elements are lost. I've tried everything to get this PDF file moved over to ID seamlessly-but having no luck.

I'm not on a Mac, but on a Microsoft Surface Go. I've updated all my apps.

Can anyone help? TIA!

This sounds like a question for the developer, Recosoft. However, you might find some help in the InDesign forum from other PDF2ID users.

What kind of elements are missing?

    How many pages?

What program originally created the PDF (see Document Properties)?

Converting to InDesign from a PDF, no matter how good a converter says it is, will only be partially successful... at best, it might get you 75% there. You still would have to do things like reassign paragraph styles and fix layout issues in other ways. That being said, it gets you closer to an end product then rebuilding from scartch, so it is still a time saver in many ways. Just don't expect 100%.

As far as missing elements, if you are mssing images, you can always extract them in Acrobat as separate files and then place them back into the ID document.

I'm wondering if the missing elements are annotations or form fields.

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Acrobat forum so that proper help can be offered.

@Peru Bob I think this is more of an InDesign forum question, rather than Acrobat.

I'll move it to the InDesign forum.
