Permissions issue on files created in InDesign

I found a posting that was a couple of years old for this same issue but there was no resolution, so I figured I'd try a new post.  We just upgraded to the latest version of InDesign, and on this current version, the windows file permissions are not getting assigned correctly on new files created from within InDesign.  It is not inheriting the permissions from the windows folder, and that folder is being shared to another computer, so any files created that way are not visible to the other computer.  This did work correctly with the old version of InDesign (which was 2020).  Any files created in the folder outside of InDesign are getting the correct permissions.  Both computers are Windows 11 Pro computers.  Resetting the preferences did not fix the issue.

Thanks for any help!

I did get this working -- oddly enough, when I changed the document recovery folder from the default (an Indesign folder in her appdata folder) to a folder that has same permissions as the folder they save in, the file is getting the correct permission, so it appears that it may be pulling the permissions for new files from that location instead of where they are being saved...

Hello @schillcm,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you check if the problem persists if the file is saved locally in a folder that is not being actively synced, so we can investigate further?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for the quick reply -- hopefully I can try that early next week and let you know what happens.
