When ever I open the programe it wants to give me some tool tips on the libraries panel and it does it every single time. I have even turned tool tips off but it wont give up.

This is from a clean install of windows. Brand new install of adobe.

Any progress on this? It's incredibly annoying.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for continuing to share your feedback and concerns about the persistent "Tool Tips" pop-ups in InDesign. I completely understand how disruptive these can be, and it’s clear they are causing significant frustration for many of you.

While these pop-ups are not technically classified as a bug, we do acknowledge that they can be inconvenient for users, especially those who prefer a seamless workflow. The product team is actively working on improving this experience, and they are exploring options to provide more control-such as the ability to permanently disable these pop-ups in future updates.

Your input is invaluable in shaping the direction of these improvements. Please continue to share your feedback and upvote this thread to ensure it remains visible to the team. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated on any progress or changes as they develop.

Thank you for your patience and for helping us improve the software!

Best,
Abhishek Rao

Hi @i?sabet_8119,

I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing the same issue with the persistent tool tips! That can definitely be frustrating. Could you please provide the version of InDesign you’re using and details about your operating system?

If possible, sharing a video of the issue would be really helpful. Tool tips should only appear twice after resetting preferences, so if they’re showing up more often, it may indicate a problem that we need to address.

Please check and let me know if you see the tool tips more than twice after the reset. Thank you for your patience, and I'm here to assist you!

Best,
Abhishek Rao

I did speak to chat support today but they didnt really want to know unless I could prove it by showing it, which was frustrating to say the least, as its intermittent and I had already dismissed them that morning.

I guess by reseting prefs all my panels disappear again etc, which takes so much time to get right and this is super frustrating as its a brand new install of both windows and adobe. But here we are ten days later and Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign all show the same tool tips ONLY FOR LIBRARIES PANEL constantly every day, 2 or 3 times in the day.

When you install a next version, the default settings of the installer seek to bring forward a migration of your settings. So, even a new install could start with problems. Could you try a removing them, running the CC cleaner app, and then reinstalling with care taken not to migrate settings?

It was a brand new fresh install of windows 11 followed by a brand new install of creative cloud. This is a bug and its doing my head in.

Hi @garethirwin1234,

I can totally understand how frustrating it is when the tooltips keep popping up, especially when you're trying to focus on your work! Could you please let me know the version of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop you're using, along with your operating system details?

Since this is happening across multiple Adobe apps, it might be related to preferences not saving correctly. Try resetting your preferences by holding "Ctrl+Alt+Shift" (Windows) when launching the apps. Reference: Set preferences in Adobe InDesign

Let me know if this helps.

Thank you,

I really really dont want to have to go through all my preferences again. To reinterate this is a brand new install. What exactly am I resetting here?
