Picture color background doesn't print accurately..

Question

I placed a picture with the same background color as the background color of my page:

But when printing the page the picture background color doesn't match the page background color anymore:

(The print has at least the top background of my page correct, even though it doesn't show right here.)

I set Edit > Transparency Blend Space to Document RGB, since my picture and InDesign document are in RGB,

but this doesn't help. Placing my picture as a pdf instead of jpg doesn't help either.

Please tell me what to do? Thanks in advance!

Lots of factors to consider:Without seeing your files, the most likely one is that you have two color spaces going on.Check what your InDesign Color Settings are, which will define how ID objects are Color Managed, and then check what profile is assigned to your image (if any). Even so, with light colors like this, it's very easy for them to drift enough when they are then converted to your printer's color space.Are you printing directly from ID? or did you make a PDF and print from that?In any case, the simpler solution is to change your graphic to NOT have that background. This is a pretty easy vector design, so I would consider recreating it in Illustrator. However, if all you have is this image, you could delete the background in Photoshop and save as PSD (or a transparent PNG) so that background is transparent.
