Question

Place RICHTEXT in textframe

Hey,

I want to place external Richtext files into my inDesign Document.

In the document there is already a text frame in which the text (singel phrases) should be placed. In case I drag and drop the text from the finder a new text frame will be created instead of placing the text into the existing one. Opening the Richtext files - copy the content - and insert it into the existing texframe via ctr+V is no option cause we are talking about 2.000 items.

I use RTF Documents cause phrase and text formats are defined in them and importing different languages will be very easy.

Would be happy about any solution to solve my problem or another workaround.

Thank you very much!

The text frame where you can drag the text saved as a RTF file must be empty. As shown by the animation from Ajabon.

Tested on Win 10 and ID 2020

I don’t know why I can, but I can.

Thanks for your feedback! Do you use the actual inDesign CC 2020 Version?

I am using the software on Windows.
