When placing files, activate the show option.
Better is to work with paragraph and character styles in Word and map them to corresponding styles in InDesign, also accessible via show options.

Hi @hendy_5450,

When placing text from Word into InDesign, make sure you use File > Place and then check the option for Show Import Options. In the dialog that opens, select Preserve Styles and Formatting from Text and Tables. This will keep the bold, italics, and paragraph structure intact as they appear in your Word file.

Give this a try and let me know if it works as expected on your side.

Best,

Abhishek
