Placed Vector Images not updating correctly.

Hi Indesign Guru's.

I was wondering if you had the same issue as me.

I had a vector asset placed in Indesign, I opened the vector asset in Illustrator and updated the colour only.

I saved the vector in Illustrator.

Then when I went back into Indesign CC2019 I assumed it would update the colour as per previous versions of Indesign.

It did update the colour but it changed the size and location of all Vector assets in Indesign.

I did not change the dartboard or move anything in illustrator, so I dont understand why this did not update properly, its not Quark Express!

This was very frustrating as I had to reposition all of the vector assets, this it did not happen in Indesign CC 2018.

I was just wondering if there were any others who have come across this issue.

Or if I have missed an updated setting from Adobe Indesign in the CC19 updates.

I have done a bit of an internet search and not found much out there.

Looking forward to the responses.

Cheers Dan.

Correct answer JointyJr

Hi Dan - it sounds like it could be the import options:

If the crop options change to anything different to how the file was originally placed then Indesign will change the scale and position of that file due to inclusion/absence of additional areas.

I don't know how the import options have changed by themselves though
