Question

Placing Cloud saved files in InDesign

Hi all, I've just updated all Creative Cloud programs to 2020. Photoshop now gives the option of saving to it's cloud storage for use on other devices when you log in.

However there seems to be nowhere to stipulate what file format you prefer (ppsd, tif etc). I tend to save layered files as psd and flattened images as tif or jpeg files for easy recognition

Also, when working with InDesign, there seems to be nowhere to access those files to 'place' etc.

Does this mean I have to continue saving files locally to place etc, or am I missing something?

Yes. If you save files into your local Creative Cloud Files folder, which by default gets installed in your computer’s user folder, the files will automatically get sync’d to your Adobe cloud server, and be available for placing. If you need to collaborate, you can share sync’d folders with other CC users. The Creative Cloud Files folder also acts as an automatic off site backup.
