Question

Please let me view InDesign documents as a spread or export facing pages separately

Before you say it... I know you can change the document properties but this has other ramifications I don't want.

My request is to setup a document as non-Facing because my printer needs 4x bleed edges, Then as i'm working on my books I want to see what my spreads will look like.

My recommendation is View->Screen Mode -> As Spread

Or something just as simple.

It would also be nice to choose whether I want to see the spine bleed or hide it.

Another workaround I've tried is exporting my Facing Pages document and it does this goofy thing of overlaying one bleed with the other page. Any option to export pages individually gives me the same results of overlapping bleed in my PDF like t !his:

Hi,

I suggest you look into this option in the pages panel.

Set your document as "non facing pages". Disable the above shown option and then drag pages only to make them as facing (spread) temporarily.

Once you are happy with the design, simply turn on this option. you will then see an alert like this...

Clicking "No" will make your pages as they were before.. (non facing)

For the second part you can explore this option...

This does not resolve my issue. In addition, this requires me to move every single spread next to each other when I want to view them like this. Then any update to the document and I would have to go back dragging every other page. Please see the screenshots below for what this looks like and why it does not work.

in this screenshot you can see the lemon bleed is beyond the crop mark into the picture with the two boys. (see examples of what the export looks like in my original post)

As for the view, currently bleed is checked. When preview is checked it looks like the following picture with no change to the centerline bleed.

Please advise
