Adobe indesign 2023 plg was missing IndicPlus.pln

I've done some more research and it appears the plugin is no longer available from the developer. See this related discussion: https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/where-to-get-indicplus-plugin/td-p/10294517

.idml seems to be the solution.

IndicPlus is a third party plugin. It appears there is a free trial if you only need it briefly.

If the file you are using does not actually require the functionality of the plugin (it supports Asian and other complex script languages, apparently) you can remove references to it ion the file, and the resulting error message, by exporting the file to .idml, opeing that and saving as a new .indd file.
