PlupPlugOwl.dll crash - i need your help!

I installed Indesign CC 2018 on my new Windows Home 10 Tablet (Trekstore Primerab T13B) but when i launch Indesign, it stopps during startup at "Bedienfelder" (panels). Im a mac user, but i already looked at "Ereignisanzeige" (event viewer) and i think it crashes at plugplugowl.dll.

I already installed indesign, cc and windows from scratch, no success. I looked at several support-pages, and google, nothing.

No problem with PS, AI, Bridge.

So i ask for your help! Thanks, Gerald

Hi All,

The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update 14.0.2 of InDesign 2019.

If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.

Hi Gerald,

We are very sorry for the inconvenience. This error generally occurs due to Windows error generally after Windows update. Please try following steps and share results:

1) Preferences Reset for InDesign:

  • Close all Adobe applications.
  • Go to Locations :
  • C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
  • C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Adobe.
  • Delete or Rename InDesign folders.
  • Launch InDesign from CC.

2) Restart system

3) Check in new user account: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4026923/windows-10-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account

Looking forward to your response!
