Print booklet - how to get 6-up Consecutive?

We are trying to print a ~4"x ~11.5" layout as a 6-up consecutive z-fold on 12"x24" and InDesign only goes to 4-up. Am I going to have to spit each page out as a PDF and re-create it as a 12"x24" layout?

Why do you need to impose in InDesign?

I don't necessarily have to in InDesign, but whether it's in Photoshop, Illustrator or what have you, I'd prefer to give the full layout to the printer so we don't have to worry about page order, etc. It would just be much easier if it could be done from InDesign since that's where it's currently laid out.

The wish to have complete control is completely understood (I've tried to maintain maximum control of print jobs my whole career), but for imposition... if your printer can't do it seamlessly and flawlessly and with better options for optimizing the print run, you're not with the right printer.

Just sayin'.
