Question

Print test 6x9 book to office printer A4 sheets

Hi,

I have a 200 page 6x9 doc which I want to print as a test on our own office A4 printer.

I can print it okay but the over sideof the page is out of sync with the primary side.

I habe tried double side flip as well as regular but can't get it to place itself in the right place on the page.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks

As mentioned, printing centered is the way to go, but if you truly want to print to the corner of a sheet, you COULD do a Manual Tile, but you wouldn’t be able to print both sides automatically. You would have to print all the odd pages first with the Tile origin set at the top left 0,0 mark, then print all the even pages with the Tile origin moved to the left 2.637” (A4 width minus 6”). Not sure it’s worth the time and effort for 200pages ;)

Sounds like a duplex alignment issue—try adjusting flip on long edge vs short edge and check your printer’s margin/scale settings (set to 100%, no “fit to page”). That usually fixes the back side shift.

Also helps to run a quick alignment check using a file from https://printertestingpage.com/ so you can clearly see if the misalignment is coming from settings or the printer itself

Presumably your printer is not a duplex printer. It's always difficult to register a correct backup just by turning over the sheet.

Thank you for the reply.

Yes it is a Duplex..  Fuji Xerox DocuPrint CP405 d.

I have the doc at 6x9 to print to an A4 sheet as a 6x9 not the full A4.

The print does double side however the page one the 6x9 is upper left and it also on page 2.

I need it to be Page 1 upper left and page 2 upper right.

If you hold the sheet up to see through, you can see they are both on the same side.

Maybe it is impossible to do but was just tryimg to ake up a mock few pages at 6x9 to see how it looked.

Thank you for the reply anyway.

The only way to get this to come close to backing up correcly is if the print image is centeered on the sheet.
