How do I get my document to print all the way to the edge and not cut off around the sides?

If you're going the commercial printer route, don't forger to add Bleed in your InDesign layout in Document Setup. Any object that is supposed to end at the trim should extend that extra 1/8" to the Bleed Guides. And please call your printer to get their exact Bleed specifications.

As Dan is suggesting, you can use this same method when printing on an inkjet. Print with Bleed and Crop Marks and then cut it out manually.

Thank you! I just needed to add the bleed and crop marks.

To get edge to edge printing, professional printers will print on larger paper and then trim to size.

It depends on the printer driver, not InDesign.

in general you have to choose the right paper setting using the Printer... button af the bottom of the InDesign print dialog

And keep in mind that most consumer printers are not capable of printing to the edge. They need what's called a "gripper margin" to pull the paper through the printer.
