Problem saving ID file

Question

I'm correcting a large ID 19 file over some days, and checked regularly that each day's corrections were saved safely. Today, all saved text from all the days' corrections in the file has diappeared. Is a saved version hidding somewhere?

We can try and help, but we need to get some information from you to narrow things down:

What version of InDesign, and whether you're on a Windows or Mac system?

Which version of the Windows or Mac operating system are you using?

Are all your InDesign files saved on your system's local storage? Is your system on a network? Are you using a cloud storage service like OneDrive, iCloud or Dropbox?

Answering these questions will help us narrow down the possibilities and hopefully direct you toward a successful conclusion to this crisis.
