Question

problems opening old Quark file in Indesign

Has anyone been able to trouble shoot this issue? I'm not sure which version of Quark the original documents were created in, but it was over 10 years ago. Tried opening in Indesign using the dropdown Markzware, but that does not seem to work. The "convert Quarkxpress document" option is not highlighted to be clicked on. Any way to trouble shoot this issue? all help is appreciated!

Does the Quark document have the suffix .qxd attached to it? If not try adding it and see if the Marksware plug-in can convert it.

I am assuming that you are using the Markesware plugin called Q2ID. I am not sure what versions of InDesign it works on but you can check their website. You will need this to make a conversion.
