Hi Everyone,
When Im typing or amending text in a normal text box in InDesign it suddenly disappears/ goes blank.
I have to zoom in & out to restore my view of my text to continue,..but 5characters on it does the same thing.
I've reinstalled Indesign with no improvement. It's a Refurbished Mac - could this be the problem?

PLEASE help. Does anyone have any ideas???.

Hi @Stephen5F9F:

What version of Ventura are you using? The current version is 13.6. If you want to upgrade to see if it helps, you'll need to scroll down past the promoted Somoma upgrade. The Ventura upgrade option is listed at the very bottom. That said, definitely try Bob's suggestion of disabling GPU Performance. It's in InDesign > Preferences > GPU Performance.

Using a refurbished Mac should not be an issue, assuming that it meets, or ideally exceeds, the minimum system requirements. I'm on a Mac (Ventura 13.6, InDesign 18.4) and not experiencing this issue. I do keep GPU Performance disabled though, because it slows down the screen redraw time occasionally.

Turn off the rulers, enable GPU Performance or any combination of the two. There are countless others posting the same issue after rushing into the Sonoma upgrade.
