Publish Online

I am currently running InDesign v21.0.2 and I cannot publish any documents online.

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled.  Tried different files and still no joy.  To top it off, when I save and then come out of InDesign, the software crashes.

Any ideas what is going on ?  I need to publish something today.  Is there a working version if I roll-back ?

 

I only have to publish this document every quarter, so it was working three months ago, so I could guss at what version was running then I suppose, but am I the only one having this type of issue ?

Thanks for sharing the additional details. To help move this forward, could you please confirm the OS version you're running along with InDesign 21.0.2? Also, can you check whether the behavior you're seeing matches what's described in this thread here: https://adobe.ly/4s9whGk

If it does look like the same issue, there is already a bug logged for it. To investigate this further, I'll need the affected InDesign file packaged from your end, so the team can review it. You can follow this guide to package the file: https://adobe.ly/4s2M5u7

Ok, so an update to this is that a smaller filesize wiull publish, but what I have no idea what the maximum file size is for indd.

 

I have looked back and I can see that previously I have had an .indd file that contained a video at around 49MB, but the one I am now trying to upload has no videos embedded and is 45.2MB, so I cannot understand why the previous one will publish online but this latest one will not.

There are no error messages.  The software goes to the publish online poop-up, but when I click 'Publish' it just goes back to the editing screen and never shows the uploading dialogue box.  Really odd !

Just a little more feedback to my problem.  I should have siad, I can publish the older larger file online (which has 1 video embedded), but the smaller file that has 3 embedded videos will not.  Also weirdly, if I remove all of the videos, the file now goes to under 45MB and still will not publish online.  It is over 100 pages, but surely this is not a factor ?
