Publish online document with mp4

Hi!

 

I have an issue when publishing online. I have a couple of pages in my publication with a hidden video in multi state. Whn I publish online it takes 2-3 seconds for the page to load properly. I've used this feature in the past and it worked. Also I have made the video as smaller as possible (6-7mb). 

Is there something else I need to do? Or an alternative way to publish and distribute an online digital magazine?

Can you post the Publish Online doc? While I can't picture exactly what you have here, I have found setting the first item in the timeline (whatever that might happen to be) to delay, say, .25 sec, allows everything to load before any animated action starts.

This is the link to one of the pages. As you can see there is an mp4 hidden in a state that is actually causing the problem on the page load. The size of the mp4 is 6mb. Let me know if this makes sense.

Hi Kyriaki,

Not sure what's going on. I have made a simple example to see if I understand how your file is constructed.

In my file, there is a two-state multi-state object, State 1 = a blue box over State 2 = a video file (.mp4). There is a blue button set to "Go to State" that goes to State 2, the video state. When I click the blue button, the video plays. If this is a fair representation of what you want to do, I can elaborate on some of the settings.

Thank you for your reply! I already use in5 and I am actually going that way on the specific project which works perfectly. But I need to understand what is going wrong with publish online with an mp4 in a hidden state just in case I need to use it.
