Publish Online Missing Activity Window

I have a query I wonder if anyone else has come across.

This is a fairly recent issue as it hasn't happened in the past versions of ID. I have a large document that I regularly update and re-publish, overwriting the previous issue.

After clicking on File - 'Publish Online', selecting my usual settings in the 'Publish Your Document Online' menu. When I hit 'Publish', the activity window no longer comes up displaying how long is left to publish, and to alert me when it's finished publishing. The document however looks as though it does actually get published when I view the dashboard. Also the 'Publish Online' in the File dropdown menu is now greyed out until I quit InDesign and re-boot. Any advice or help much appreciated!
