publish online on wrong profile

hello,

 

 

I published a document online via InDesign using a profile that is no longer active (an old profile of mine). Is it possible to edit this document? A correction needs to be made. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, documents published online via InDesign are tied to the profile used at the time of publishing. If the profile is no longer active, you won’t be able to edit or update the published document directly through InDesign.

We would suggest you to: 

1. Republish the Document:

-Open the original document in InDesign using your current profile.

-Make the necessary corrections.

-Publish it online again using your active profile.

 

 

2. Manage Published Links:

-If you still have access to the old profile, log in and check the Publish Online Dashboard (link here). This is where you can manage, update, or delete previously published documents.

-If access to the old profile is entirely lost, it won’t be possible to edit or manage documents associated with it.

thank you, i can see the link,

i have accis to my old profile,

 

is it possible to transfer the document and the link to my new proifile?

Hi @marcw36526676,

 

Thank you for the update! Unfortunately, at this time, Publish Online links cannot be transferred between Adobe profiles. Each profile maintains its own unique dashboard and published links, and there’s no direct way to migrate or transfer documents or links between profiles.

Since you still have access to your old profile, what you can do is:

1. Continue Managing from the Old Profile:

-You can log in to your old profile and make updates or changes directly via the Publish Online Dashboard for that account.

2. Share the Updated Link:

-After making the corrections, you can share the updated Publish Online link from the old profile.

3. Republish with the New Profile (Optional):

-If you'd prefer to manage the link under your new profile going forward, you’ll need to republish the document using the new profile. However, the link will be different, so you’ll need to inform your audience about the updated URL.
