Question

Pulling images from Microsoft Word Document

Hi there

I was hoping to find a fix for this. I have noticed when placing a document from Microsoft Word into Indesign all images, when exported to pdf, turn blue. Is there a way around this or do I have to first save all images  from the Word document into a folder and add them as seperate links?

Thank you

Save the Word file as HTML. This will save all images in their original quality and in a smaller size in a subfolder. You can place those image, use sRGB color profile for those images.

Is this a DOC or DOCX file? Is it a true Word file or something exported from a different application? Screenshots might help but give this a read to see why if this is a true Word to InDesign workflow everything should be fine:

What you're seeing is typical of fake Word docs, especially saved from Google Docs.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
