Hello

Whenever I quit Indesign 20.4.1 (on Sequoia 15.5 (24F74)), I get a Problem Report for InDesign (InDesign quit unexpectedly), with:

Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread

Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000

Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 6 Abort trap: 6
Terminating Process: Adobe InDesign 2025 [3929]

Application Specific Information:
abort() called

etc. If it helps, I can post the full report (as attachment).

Anyone experiencing this? Any idea?

Thanks!

Hello Bill,

Thanks, that helped. I uninstalled an unused plugin named MATE (labelled free but in fact is not), and now not only does InDesign quit without a problem, but the Creative Cloud app doesn't freeze any more either.

Thanks again!

I have seen this reported by several users. However, I am running the same version of InDesign and the same operating system as you and have not had the same problem. Are you using any third party plug-ins for either your InDesign or OS? If so make sure that they have been updated to the latest versions and that they have full compatibility with the latest versions of the app and OS. As a trouble-shooting measure you could also try disabling the plug-ins and see if the "unexpected quitting" issue still persists.
