Random variable data doesn't print.

Using InDesign 18.5. Created a variable data numbering file. Exported out to a PDF file. Randomly, the variable data information doesn't print on every page -- i.e. numbers are skipped. What can cause this?

    Hi @ZDJames ,

    when you talk about "variable data" I suppose you are talking about InDesign's datamerge feature.

    I can remember that previewing the results can have a bug so that the resulting PDF does not contain all entries.

    The workaround for this is:

    [1] Never save the template document after you did a datamerge. Just close it after you did the merge. If you save the template it could contain some flaws.

    [2] Merge to an InDesign document and export the result of the merged document to PDF.
