Why don't my workspaces automatically display every time I open InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop/etc? Its driving me crazy! I was hoping with this next update that it would be solved.

are you on macOS Ventura? if so, you may experience this known issue:

Panels don't appear when opening InDesign (and other Adobe apps) — Adobe Prerelease

the easiest solution in this case is to select a different workspace, then switch back to the desired workspace. it should restore your panels.

Yes, I'm on macOS Ventura. And yes, that has been my current solution for my workspace issue, but why is it not generally open up every time I open any Adobe product? It used to at least default to something. It's very frustrating.

Make sure you're using the latest version of macOS Ventura. Ventura was updated to 13.3 yesterday. Also make sure you're using the latest InDesign version 18.2.1.

As it's happening across multiple applications

Reinstalling rarely fixes everything - you can do a complete reinstall using the
