Because I was experimenting, I created way too many print presets in a document I want to print. How do I delete them so I can start over?

to expand on this just a bit, when you enter the Print Presets> Define... diakog you can select any existing preset and click the Delete button to remove it.

File > Print, adjust print settings, and click Save Preset. The preset is saved in the InDesign Defaults file only.

Another way:

File > Print Presets > Define... and then New; and then click Save. Use the default name, Saved Print Presets, and then click Save to return to the Print Presets dialog box. Click OK again.

If not manually saved with these steps, they are lost when you reset preferences. Print presets are saved as .prst filename extensions.

Suggestion: make a new Print Presets folder under the Version 20.0/en_US folder, along with other presets folders there. Use this new folder to store all your custom-made print presets; and back up the Version 20.0/en_US folder and subfolders of your presets.
[macOS] Users/UserName/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/Version 20.0/en_US/Presets\Print Presets
[Win 10/11] Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\Version 20.0\ en_US\Print Presets

Thank you, everybody! I’m 88 years old and I do pretty well, but i do appreciate a little help now and then. I’m new to this conversation but it looks like the right place to get the answers I need.
