Reinstall a missing font

Hi, I need to reinstall Pilcrow font in InDesign because it says it is missing, but can't seem to find it as an option in the program. This is issue just started last week, prior to that the font was working well. Everything is up to date. Any suggestions?

You don't install fonts through InDesign.

Mac

Where did you get the original font? And what format (OpenType, Postscript Type 1, TrueType) are the font files? Are we talking about a Windows system or a Mac? What version of InDesign are you using, and have you recently updated your InDesign application? Is the font available/usable in other Adobe applications and non-Adobe programs installed in your system?

I know you're looking for answers here, but if you could share answers to these questions, it'll help us lead you toward the best solution for your font issues.

Install fonts

For information on installing and activating fonts to be used in all applications, see your system documentation or your font manager documentation.

You can make fonts available in InDesign only by copying the font files into the Fonts folder inside the InDesign application folder on your hard drive. However, fonts in this Fonts folder are available only to InDesign.
