Reordering pages in inDesign Book

I created a 100+pages indd file created using data merge (single-page template).  I want to put this file in an indesign book and insert a title and intro page in the beginning and a "chapter page" every 20 or so pages (not the same number of pages in all chapters).  How do I go about this?

Thanks!

Change your document to Facing Pages in Document setup, and the insert pages as needed with the Pages pallet. Set up a Master Page for your Chapter intro pages for consistency.

I don't even see the Pages pallet - just to be sure it's clear, I'm talking about pages in a document in a book, not pages in a stand-alone document. The document source of data merge gets constantly updated, so it's no good inserting the extra pages in the resulting multi-page document (it will have to be reinserted everytime the document is updated)

How do you pull out the pages pallet in this case?  Thanks

In that case, I'd do merge each Chapter of your book as a separate document, and combine them all using an InDesign book pallet. That way, your chapter titles and into pages can also be separate documents, but you can still have automatic page numbering
